Abstract: This presentation stages a set of focused demonstrations of the open MBSE solution Arcadia-Capella. From the operational analysis down to the specification of subsystems, the rationale for each Arcadia engineering perspective is explained illustrated using a Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) example: what are the engineering objectives, main tasks, which choices are made, which ones are left opened.
This journey in the Arcadia-Capella model-based engineering approach is the opportunity
• To focus on how the Capella tool actually helps engineers conduct the architectural design
• To demonstrate some of the original, value-added core features of Capella: automated synchronization of perspectives, replication of building blocks, advanced diff and merge, etc.
• To demonstrate some of the most recent new features of Capella, and in particular the profiling (PVMT) and filtering add-ons.
