Modern product engineering is moving from including software to becoming software-dominant. It's becoming increasingly common to hear products being described as "software-defined...". A software-defined product is one whose basic features can be dramatically altered through software control. A software-defined product has significant implications for development process, for product lifecycle, for product quality, and even for the organizational culture itself. This session will provide a roadmap for what those changes look like and how to plan for and embrace those changes. We will deep dive in particular on what those changes mean for Systems Engineering.
