CATIA Magic (aka Cameo/MagicDraw) and CATIA have always been best-in-class tools for Systems Modeling and 3D Modeling. Now, the power of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform brings those tools together, integrating Model-Based Systems Engineering with Model-Based 3D Design. Lockheed Martin Skunk Works has applied the 3DEXPERIENCE platform to extend their digital engineering approach for wire harness engineering, with an approach that spans system architecture, logical design, 3D design and manufacturing representation. Dassault Systèmes’ Model-Based Wire Harness Engineering realizes the promise of Model-Based Systems Engineering through significant improvements in integrating SysML models in CATIA Magic with Logical and 3D detailed design in 3DEXPERIENCE platform. In this session, we will cover the foundations of this approach (as described in IS2022 Paper and Poster #107) and also address recent updates and the roadmap of the continuing integration between CATIA Magic and 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
