Often we strive to deliver a perfect solution. Sometimes this is warranted, sometimes not. This can lead to cost and/or schedule overruns, and the introduction, or the appearance of, poor quality systems at initial deployment. A means to address this challenge is to employ a Minimal Viable Capability (MVC). Or is it? To understand the complexities of realizing MVC a number of interacting factors will be presented in a takeaway graphic(s) that Systems Engineers can add to their toolkit.
