SysML V2 is a general-purpose modeling language, standardized by the OMG, for specifying, analyzing, designing, and verifying complex systems that may include hardware, software, information, personnel, procedures, and facilities (source: https://www.omgsysml.org/). It is the result of an extensive collaborative development effort that began in 2015 and involved more than 80 organizations. SysML V2, the eagerly anticipated successor to SysML V1, addresses many of its predecessor's limitations and is poised to play a key role in the Digital Engineering transformation in the years to come.
Obeo, a leading company in the MBSE landscape known for supporting the Capella ecosystem, announced in October 2023 the creation of SysON: an open-source, web-based graphical authoring tool for SysML V2. Six months after its inception, we are excited to introduce SysON to the INCOSE community. This presentation will provide insights into the current capabilities of SysON through an extensive demonstration and outline our mid-term goals for this innovative tool. Join us to explore how SysON can enhance your systems engineering practices and contribute to the broader adoption of SysML V2.
