The Systems Engineering Research Center (SERC) was established in 2008 by the Department of Defense as the first networked University Affiliated Research Center. More than 20 SERC universities nationwide contribute expertise on digital engineering, test & evaluation, modeling, workforce development and other fields for advancements in national security.
